The SciTech Campus of Harrisburg High School is a small learning community in the Harrisburg School District. Total enrollment is limited to 400 serious and motivated students from the Capitol Region, who demonstrate interest in and enthusiasm for a rigorous educational experience focused on a well-rounded education. HHS: SciTech Campus offers a comprehensive honors level, college preparatory academic program.
High expectations and professionalism are hallmarks for teachers and students at HHS: SciTech Campus. Pride in learning and the celebration of academic success remain part of the fabric of the school. Continuous content-based professional development is expected of the faculty. Preparing students for achievement in a diverse workplace represents a second philosophical pillar of HHS: SciTech Campus. This belief recognizes that the young learners of metropolitan Harrisburg benefit from participating in real world experiences as a fundamental part of the HHS: SciTech Campus experience.
Admission to HHS: SciTech Campus is by application.
All of the items listed on the Application Checklist must be submitted to the HHS: SciTech Campus Admissions Committee following described protocol. It is the student’s responsibility to deliver the application materials to his or her teachers and guidance counselors according to the instructions on these forms and to follow up with these individuals to ensure that all materials are submitted in a timely manner.
ACCEPTANCE REQUIREMENTS:
> Core GPA of 2.5 or higher (Core classes: Math, Science, English, and Social Studies)
> Minimal Discipline issues
> Minimal Attendance issues

APPLICATION CHECK LIST:
> Complete Student Admissions Questionnaire
> Upload a one-page essay on the topic "Why I Want To Attend SciTech Campus."
> Submit Grades from Most Recent 2 Marking Periods
> Submit Discipline Report
> Submit Attendance Report
> Submit Teacher Recommendations
Process After Submitting Application:
All completed applications are reviewed by the HHS: SciTech Campus Admissions Committee.
If Acceptance Requirements are met (see list above) and all components from the Application Check List (see list above) have been submitted, you will be contacted by our Admissions Committee to schedule an Interview and placement test.
Final acceptance determinations are based on teacher recommendations, grades, placement scores, attendance, discipline, a writing sample, and an interview.
Parents, guardians, and students will be notified of admissions status by letter on or about March 24, 2023. Students who are accepted will be required to attend the mandatory new student and parent meeting in April.
